Linings

We offer a complete range of linings including ivory, blackout and starlight. Any of our marquees can be taken with internal linings to give them a touch of style and elegance. With different colours to choose from, A & B Marquees can tailor your marquee to work with colour themes from your bridesmaids or florist at weddings and party functions. Equally for corporate events we can tailor the marquee linings to match your company colour theme.

Starlight

A & B Marquee only stock premium quality starlight; a blackout fabric giving the effect of a night sky and the perfect setting to dance.

Recommended to be situated over the dance floor, along with the optional blackout walls, it gives a more intimate feel while dancing.

It comes with a control box so you can change the brightness, speed of flashing lights and cross point between the two phases.

Dance Floors & Solid Floors

As many of our customers use their marquees for dinner and dancing, we offer a range of interlocking dance floors.

Available in:

Black & White

Marquees can be provided with entirely solid floors throughout. This is a particularly useful solution where a perfect flat surface is essential.

Tables and Chairs

We offer our own range of table and chairs. Available in sizes of 3ft, 4ft, 5ft, 5.5ft and 6ft round tables.

We also offer a choice of trestles tables in various sizes.

The banqueting chair is still the benchmark of style and elegance for hire furniture with the seat pad available in differing colours.

Where value for money is a key requirement the bistro chair is the best choice.

A & B Marquee works with other partner companies in order to offer facilities such as chair covers, specifically designed table linens etc.

Lighting

High quality lighting systems are a must for primer events. A & B Marquee uses 8 bulb chandelier lighting as standard. All lighting is dimmable and protected by RCD and current overload.

Carpets

A & B Marquee offer a standard carpet, or a coconut matting.

Our carpet can be laid directly onto the ground surface no matter if it is grass or a harder surface.

In its appearance our graphite coloured carpet looks far superior to coconut matting but if you would prefer the later, please just ask and we can provide that too.

With a little notice we can also provide other carpet colours to match your theme, please ask about this when you contact us.

Doors and Windows

Our Georgian style windows provide our marquees with a suitable classic finish.

Lace up doors are included as standard, we also offer solid doors as an alternative with perfect compatibility with the main marquee structure.

Heating Systems

A & B Marquee heating systems give an even distribution of heat through thermostatic controls. This allows for a comfortable surrounding air temperature in the marquee throughout your event.

Up to 30 degree rise in temperature can be achieved, so even on the coldest winter night you can be lovely and warm inside.

Generators

Our generators are 22 KVA, super silent self contained units which can be used to power any event.

Set at a good distance from the marquee they will provide constant, reliable power throughout your event.

...getting it right every time

As professionals in marquee hire, we are committed to exceeding our clients expectations every time and without fail.

By listening to your requirements and getting a full understanding of your event or occasion, we can be sure that we will deliver the right marquee solution for you.

That is why we insist on visiting the proposed marquee site and measuring up before we can commit our 100% service to you.

That said; on this page we give you an idea of how you can roughly work out your marquee position and size before we visit.

All of our marquees are modern modular aluminium single-span framed structures, which allow the most flexibility in designing your event layout. We can build our marquees on virtually any surface from grass lawns to tarmac car parks.

Being of a single-span design, you have no centre poles or guy ropes to worry about, allowing you the most efficient use of open space. Choose with or without carpets (we don't use old coconut matting!), you can decide your marquee widths and lengths in units of 10ft.

Understanding our Modular Single-Span Marquee Sizes

Our marquee sizes are variable in multiples of 10ft or 3 metre sections (or bays as we call them). In the example above you can see that the marquee is 7 bays long and therefore 70ft or approx 21 metres in length. Your marquee can be as short as a single bay (10ft or 3 metres) or as long as you wish because we can keep adding more bays.

You will also notice that on the end visible on the left of the example, there are 3 x 10ft bays (marked with blue dots) running beneath the marquee apex roof, therefore this example marquee is 30ft or 9 metres wide.

In marquee widths we offer as standard; 10ft, 20ft, 30ft, 40ft or 50 ft wide, which you have now probably worked out to be 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 bays wide respectively.

In the example above, bays 4 and 5 are window bays and bay 7 is a doorway. For your marquee we can put the windows and doors in whichever bay sections you wish or that you feel would be most suitable. If you wish you can have an entire side with opening doors, windows or fully enclosed, its up to you.

Using interconnecting sections we could add another marquee to the side of the example above making an L shape overall, or indeed more marquees making further differing rooms. Using only the modern modular marquees that we do, the options and possibilities are confined only by the space available.

...so which marquee will fit our venue requirement?

We like to be sure. We like to know that before we arrive in our trucks and vans, we have enough access to the proposed venue area. We have enough manpower and that it is suitable to build the marquee size you have ordered.

This is part of our service commitment policy, we come along and measure up to be absolutely sure. The only exception that we make to our policy is, if we regularly build marquees at the venue that you have chosen, such as a hotel for example.

...what about access to the venue?

We consider access to the proposed venue, and we measure that too! By doing this at the time of booking in advance, if we need extra manpower to route-march the marquee components into situ, we have allowed and priced for it, so we are all clear on what is required and what it will cost.

No 11th hour shocks, and no surprises with A & B Marquees (with the exception of surprise birthday or anniversary party's perhaps!!).

We measure the site as soon as you book with us, we like you to be there if possible when we do. We look at all the options available and plan a contingency if we can, to be absolutely sure that we deliver exactly what we say we will, and we are all agreed on every eventuality (the weather for one!).

Brief History of A & B Marquee Hire: A & B Marquee Hire was founded in 1996 and specializes in marquee hire for all types of outdoor occasions, wedding, individual or corporate events. With offices in Hampshire, A & B Marquee Hire out marquees for all of London and the Home counties including Hampshire, Surrey, Sussex, Berkshire, Dorset and Kent. Weddings: We have provided Marquee hire for literally hundreds of weddings since 1996. We understand the need for efficiency, reliability and attention to detail. When we are booked for the occasion, your marquee can be safely crossed off your list. We also cater for other events including: Wedding Anniversaries, birthday marquees, corporate events marquees for Summer Parties, winter weddings and parties, family events.
Marquee Size: All our Marquees are white framed marquees and are avail bale in three widths 20', 30' and 40'. All marquees hired are available in any length. For individual or corporate parties that require additional space, our marquees can be connected. Our standard marquee linings are ivory coloured and can be embellished with swags and drapes in any colour.

Hiring a marquee: Hiring a marquee from us is a straight forward process. We arrange suitable times with you to erect a marquee during the week previous to the wedding or event and dismantle the marquee the following day/week.

MARQUEE HIRE

All of our marquees are modern aluminium framed single-span offering full flexibility in their size and layout.

Our marquees can be built on virtually any surface not just grass. So you may consider the use of any space available including paved, concrete, tarmac or brick-set surfaces to have your marquee built upon or spanning across.

After a free site survey we can advise you as to our recommended marquee size and shape given the area available, and number of guests.

Of course, being fully modular in construction, we can normally adapt our marquees to your site if space is a concern.

We can also build 2 or 3 marquees with inter-connecting doorways and add walkway covered panels.

We can supply and build a marquee, with or without; carpeting, interior linings, lighting, tables & chairs, heaters etc.

Our single span-marquees do not have centre support poles to consider, therefore offering the full area of space to design table layouts etc.

Neither do our marquees need guy ropes, so your marquee can be positioned adjacent to a boundary or building easily.

Catering and Service Marquees

We can also build additional service marquees for your catering company to work inside if required.

These are generally small marquees for food preparation, but we can provide larger marquees for a full kitchen service if required.
